Just "inherited" a Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L IS USM. Can I make it work on a K3?

No. There in no adapter of any sort available for K-mount.

No but that's a nice piece of glass. Sell it and buy a pentax lens. Or buy a canon body to use it on.

The problem is registration distance. Since the EOS mount registration distance is less than the K mount registration distance, an adapter is impractical (it would need to have (likely poor) optical elements to work right at all). That's why some of the mirrorless cameras have adapters for all sorts of lenses, since mirrorless cameras tend to have a short registration distance.

That is a nice lens, though. I'm sure you can find some use to make of it, even if it's only to provide funds for another nice K mount lens.
