I agree except for a SuperTak 50/1.4 I was given. There's something about that one lens . . .

Any K Series lens or SMC Takumar that has a rubber focusing ring. These are bigger lenses than the "M" or "A" series in general and the feel of the rubber focusing ring is better for me than the all metal on the older Takumars.

Topcor 58f1.4 and 35f2.8.... both lenses are fast and solid performers with wide open aperture.

My K 85mm f1.8, even better than the Voigtander 58mm Nokton and 90mm APO, in my opinion.

Bower-branded Samyang 35mm f/1.4, as long as I'm not trying to focus much under f/2.8 or so.

If we're talking vintage, it would have to be my Sears-branded RMC Tokina 75-260mm close focus. The lens is huge and I need to take care for lighting conditions, but it kicks out some absolutely gorgeous stuff when in close focus mode and the pixies are in the house.

I agree with the OP, the Rikenon XR F2 is in my "go to" bag and I love that lens to bits. Light but not cheap feeling, beautiful handling lens to take photos with a and superb IQ. I've taken some truly lovely shots with that lens.

However my favorite manual focus lens is the Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f1.4.
I have to agree here my VL Nokton 58mm f1.4 has the nicest focus feel of all my lenses with my Voigtlander APO Lanthar a close second.
The bonus is its amazing IQ and sharpness.

Takumar 135mm f2.5 is the smoothest focusing lens in my line-up.
