Alternative Gear & Lenses - FM Forums might get you an idea.

It's Canon users and not Pentax or Nikon users due to the 44mm register distance on a EF Canon body.
i know Canon is the best for legacy glass cuz of the shortest register distance. maybe i'm being difficult here, but my skepticism was more on your claim that "most" 5D users use alternative glass.

Oh no, i meant that i *think* most Canon alternative glass users use that glass on a 5D, NOT that all 5D users use alt. glass.

I missed the last batch of shots 1st time around. That infinity sharpess on the tree canopy looks unbelievable.

I guess I could put on all the pentax lenses I have on 5D and give it a go. Maybe I will give it a go on the weekend.

May any person help me to translate,tks.

5.最後, FA 31/1.8 接在 5D 光圈開時,邊角會有失光現象...有點lomo效果;

Day 1(FA Limited & 5D)

Day 3(FA Limited & 5D)

Pentax FA Limited lens attached to the 5D has more purple fringing than the K10 or K100d a lot. I don't have the K20D so I can make an opinion<---I don't know if purple fringing is the right translated word.

There is no obvious or ugly color dispersion.

The Fa43/1.9 lens has the best results. Best normal lens and a F4 and up is really sharp.

Also the FA77 on a FF format is equal to 135mm and is very suitable for portraits.

5.最後, FA 31/1.8 接在 5D 光圈開時,邊角會有失光現象...有點lomo效果;
Lastly, FA31 on a 5D wide open there is some vignetting with a little LOMO effect. STopped down to F2.8 there is no problem...because of this effect I really love the FA 31.

Wonderful!

I did try to mount my favourite Pentax glass onto my 5D. However, owing to the too many physical conflicts and I did not want to do much modifications / damages to my Pentax lenses and my "new" 5D (at that time), I abort totally.

I really admire your braveness and congrats on your success! However, beware of the dust entering your wonderful limited lenses, as you have also told yourself. :-)

But the FA77 on a APS-c format is equal to 135mm and is more suitable for portraits

it appears that the mirror hitting the lens is a problem with some super-takumars

does anyone have any information on ways to modify the canon to accept more lenses?

(i know for a fact that a portion of the mirror could easily be cut off at bottom, all a question of how much..)
