You can see the pics with the lens rotated and how the reflection moves with it and it is of the same size.

When you use a flash light to shine it through, do you notice any abnormality (other than dust)? By the way, small amount of dust is okay, it will not affect the image quality.

I would take the lens out of the camera to inspect it... and look through a light (lamp) from behind.

I just tried the flashlight test. I tried shining it in an angle. I could only see some dust and nothing else.

If there is no visible damage to the lens body, I don't think you need to worry too much... to be honest, even some minor scratch on the glass usually does not degrade image quality... Have fun shooting with the lens... oh yes, that's a macro lens too.

Those photos aren't much help. Take it out and shoot with it for Pete's sake! :~) . Experiment and try your best to take a photo that show aberrations which might be attributable to this feature. Test for flare especially.

always clean the glass on both ends, before making any determinations... i use kimwipes and ror, never rub a dry cloth on glass.

your pics are way too small and far away to tell anything, but when spots rotate with the lens, it's not a good sign.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am going to test the lens for the next few days or so to see if the images look alright. I was considering a trip to Henry's and getting it checked there as well. Let's see. I appreciate all your comments.

That looks eerily like lens group delamination. When the cement adhesive begins to give out, it looks almost like an oily sheen.
