I always do that when buying a used lens if it is too far away to pick up myself. Or I ask a friend who I trust and lives closer by to inspect and buy the lens on behalf of me. I then pay him or her the amount plus shipping costs (so that that person can send the lens to me) plus a little extra to buy a nice bottle of wine for.

i went with the 18-135 lens when i purchased my k-50 per moderator adam.

it has been a great purchase.

it stays on my camera about 99% of the time.
