Don't be too sure about that.....lol. Just don't consider it a part of the Double Three Amigos....Its more like the KING Amigo ! Works Fantastic for compression in Landscapes.... I would say in a class all by its self....

Yes that's the problem I'm having, naming just three. The K200/2.5 or K135/2.5 or K105/2.8 would be my fourth "tele" Amigos.

the 55 and 100 dfa macro might need to go now

Do it... Do it... Do it... (I'm just writing what I hear the little LBA demon on your shoulder whispering in your ear... Oh and I happen to agree...)

If you're asking this question, clearly you don't own the lens yet. If you don't own the lens, this means that you need to buy the lens.

That was easy, wasn't it?

Hahha. I didn't read through this whole thing because I know from years past it only leads to arguments (why I'll never understand)... Anyhow I was GOING to say "It's been 5 days... Do you have them all yet??" hahahahaha - I didn't think you nearly would.

FWIW you're following my same progression (albeit in a very compressed timeframe). 31, 77 and finally the 43. Didn't think I care much about the 43 and as I mentioned in another thread recently I bought it on a whim because it became available locally very cheap. It's become my favourite of the Three over time, no doubt about it. Not by a huge margin, but if I was forced to keep only one of them (god forbid), it'd be the 43.

Don't listen to Todd/LBA demon.....you only need one 43...

to slow down the process.... go looking for an early 43.... say serial number under 7,000.... that way you get the special leaded glass version (now the arguments can begin)

I believe it has 7.34% more pixie dust.

Also (on a more serious note) I found that by adding a Raynox 150 to the 77 I no longer ever used my Tamron 90 (I'm not a big macro person) ....... so worth considering in lue of your 100......the raynox easily fits in a camera bag so it's always with you.

Note: One should count the cost when considering responsibility for this amount of pixie dust. Pixie Faeries demand a very high level of blind devotion when being asked to reveal this sacred dust... I wasn't confident so settled on a serial in the 16,000 range...

I reckon I paid about $100 for my extra pixie dust..... which would make it the most expensive dust on this planet.

At least with an old 43 you can hold it up to the light and see it inside! (It's just an hypotheses I have at this time, but I believe pixie dust takes on form within the visable spectrum as the years past)

Hey stop saying crap like that !!! I got the 35ltd, it is extremely constrasty, sharp, flare resistant and there absolutely no reason to even think of an FA43.

Anyway, that is the idea I tell myself :P
