Nice! The flea markets and thrift stores in my area never seem to have much related to Pentax or M42.

Good finds.

I recently picked up a Pentax M 28mm F2.8 for 4 dollars at a local thrift store. No caps but it's in perfect condition.

Zombie I'm Jealous you paid a dollar less lol. I almost never see any Pentax Gear at my local Mart or even Goodwill but today some guy had out a chinon SLR and he had lenses So I made an offer and here I am. Guy had no idea what he had. DCShooter we should definitely revive it. This would be a cool spot.

Chinon, Ricoh... which other name brand camera manufacturers out there used the M42 and/or K mounts?

Sears, Ricoh, Pentax, Cosina, Vivitar, Promaster, all had SLR's that used M42 or K mount mostly K mount since they made their SLR's in the late 70's and eighties from what I know

If your lens hunting pathdoc sometimes people just put their SLR on fleabay or etsy not knowing that the lens is gold or sell them at a yard sale cheap. I found a Pentax M 50mm f/1.7 along with 3 other lenses and a K1000 for $50 once and it came with all the manuals caps and a nice bag. Looking for bodies on fleabay definitely gets results.

Olympus, eh? This is going to make my LBA a whole lot worse. M42, K, or both?

Olympus had a small range of M42 lenses for their FTL body. But like the later Mamiya/Sekor lenses they can't be used unless modified. They have an extra pin attached to the aperture ring for open aperture metering.
