what is the purpose of the ''attachment lens'' in this auction..

Hi roy,

That attachment lens lowers the min. focusing distance from 6 feet to 3.3 feet

That's too big a price for a Takumar, lol.

The close-up lens was actually specifically designed for this lens and for some reason wasn't originally included when it came out...
