Just got back from Arizona, quite pleased with the quality of the Gobe polarizer in the Grand Canyon and ballooning trips. As a Tigers fan, it was weird seeing Kinsler in an Angels uniform. (last pic)

Which company did you rent it from, I would like to try it out as well.

Lensrentals.com

Good experience with them. Shipping and return was easy and the lens even arrived a few days early.

I also have had good experience renting from Lensrental.com and recommend them

they ship the items to your home or if you wish to a local Fed Ex locale and you pick up from there.

this is the way I am renting a Pentax spotting scope and tripod from them for use in Yellowstone in mid May.

no worries about trying to get the equipment there when I fly in.

you use the equipment and then just send it back

no problems at all

One recommendation, pay for their maximum protection program just in case

there also may be a way that you can purchase the equipment and if that is possible, your rental fees will be credited toward the purchase price

Okay....here are a bunch...uncropped, untouched, straight out of the camera...exif info there for anyone interested. The one in the bar with all the people is a tad fuzzy cus it is shot at max ISO of 51k...just for grins. Also, I was not expecting the "macro" ability of this lens. See fabric picture from office partition. It's a heavy lens but balances the K-3 very nicely. So far so good!

For an architecture shot try the US Embassy down the street from the Market. It is such a complete architectural monstrosity that you should be able to find many interesting angles at both the low and high ends of the lens.

Thanks, I know the building well. However, and not to be rude, I find it a horrible building; as you say, a monstrosity. The Gallery down the road however....

Well, after all that, I just had to take a look. I have to admit, it is...um... a bold departure from conventional architectural aesthetics.

found at the Tropical Rain Forest Exhibit in the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center

I like the ability to reach into the photo and bring out what I want so if I get caught with the wrong lens there is a chance I can get the photo

this set up lets me do that
