I bought this lens three months ago because of versatile zoom, wr and iq. The lens has not disappointed me at all as a very good allround lens. If I just had to have one lens, this would be it.
I have manny other lenses, but they are more specialized, but this is always among the lenses I bring when Iīm on a trip, hike, abroad.
Recomended.
This is what my Pentax 16-85mm can do after one year use. Nothing!!!!!!!!!!

The inner barrel broke after one year. The repair center said the barrel broke because of a hard hit/knock. I do not understand, because I handle my gear very carefully, and I belive I would remember a knock hard enough to break the inner barrel.
And I havenīt borrowed the lens to anyone else, so I donīt get it.
My conclusion is there must have been som production damage, but that is very hard to prove. So the lens goes in the bin.
I liked this lens a lot, but was skeptic to the build quality from the start. For me that unfortunately proved to be true.

Yes, and at least in the 20 minutes or so I was there, deserted. I did see a tent in campground, but no featherless bipeds — not a single one.
