Some nice flower shots.

Some of my first 16-85mm test shots were of flowers and I found that it doesn't produce really sharp shots close up (acceptable but not as sharp as I'd like), it does better at longer distances.

I've seen the same thing but, more often than not, it's because I've chosen an aperture with too small a DOF for the distance I'm at. I've started automatically going to a smaller aperture than I used to use with this lens and that's reduced the problem significantly. Thank you to IBIS!
