Why incredulous?, looks pothole free, good surface, straight into medium left, any European hatchback, think Golf, Focus, Astra, A3, etc would eat this up at 75. A Peugeot 405 from 20 years ago wouldn't miss a beat going through here at 75 in the dry, wet might be a different matter though :-P

A few more of my holiday snaps at the 85mm end (some might be very slightly cropped)

Warning No 3 possibly NSFW!

This thread convinced me to order the 16-85 last night. I had a hard time deciding between it and the 18-135 lens, but the sharpness across the frame is really impressive

I wandered into this thread by accident.....I am a long glass shooter mostly...and have LBA under control....mostly...but the shots posted here are amazingly fine. This is a lens worth owning, maybe even a necessity? Checking out the price, it's pretty damn cheap for what you get. Thanks to all for those great shots posted...wonderful!

Regards!

As it says in its description, the 16-85 "is optimized to provide premium performance". I purchased mine for that reason, and the wider angle availability over the 18, which as you will probably notice proves itself valuable.

I hope you enjoy your new lens.

Below are some test shots I took.

Icelandic lupines. We were in an area where it was pretty much impossible to be out-of-sight of lupines.

Though the 16-85 isn't a macro, the first image shows it can do close up work when needed
