Teasel! I've always thought it an intriguing plant, in bloom and afterwards. Common in fields and along roadsides primarily south of our location. One of those introduced plants that's that's thriving as if it had always lived here.

I think it's the root of the word "to tease"?

After a quick look-up, "to tease" and "teasel" both come from an Old English word for "to comb" or "to pull apart." Teasel seed heads were used in some cloth-making, particularly to pull or fluff up wool, or to comb fibers.

Very good photos above, but I hope someone could post some slow shutter night shot here, because I'm considering to buy it or not, thanks a lot.

I took this with my K-3 in East Africa last week. Great trip.
Most of the trip was looking at all the animals and I had the new 55-300 attached to K-3 most of the time.
For this shot I used the 16-85 and it has a circular polarizer still on it. I left it on due to all the dust.
This was a challenge to meter so I just did a 5 shot bracket and put it through Photomatix Pro.
I like how it turned out!

This one is hand held with a K3 and a 16-85. It was about as dark as it looks.

Look Both Ways...

Two hiking shots from the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Go visit....

The flare resistance of this lens is so good that you can pretty much point it straight into the setting sun (not that I'd recommend doing that, for the sake of your sight).

But don't just admire the sunset. You need to look the other way, to see what that sunset is illuminating....

Thanks, timb64 ,it's very nice, fine colors, I think it can replace my old DA16-45, I just sold it and my K50, and I want a new k70 or k3ii, which I can't decide yet....

Nice wide angle view, I really like it, but the star spikes looks weird, for it has even-number of aperture blades....
