I haven't had time to manage anything more than a handful of test shots with my 16-85mm yet but a quick look at this thread bodes well.

Different colored daylilies from alongside my driveway. All taken with my K-3II and 16-85mm.

Here's an album I shared when I was selling my 16-85:

Dropbox - DA 16-85mm

Feel free to check it out for full-res images.

I really liked the lens actually... I'm just more of a prime shooter day-to-day so I sold it to recover some of the debt accrued during our trip!

I've been going to some balloon festival events this weekend and giving the 16-85mm it's first real work-out, and I have to say it's impressing me. I'm usually not a fan of slow zooms and considered the Sigma 17-50mm but opted to take the Pentax for it's increased range and likely better resistance to flare. It's also slightly wider, of lenses I own only the DA 15mm is wider.

Well my new 16-85 made its way to me on Friday. I was looking for a replacement for the kit 18-55 and this seemed like a logical upgrade. Sure it was pricey (cost more than my initial K-50 dual zoom bundle), but since I'll be doing some traveling in the near future, I venture good walkaround is a worthy investment.

I've only got to play with it a little bit, but so far I'm loving it. Few sample photos while testing it, nothing really exciting. Actually surprisingly easy to handhold even with slower shutter speeds.

I've done a lot of travelling in the last couple of years but only recently got the 16-85mm and I really wish I'd had it earlier. I think you'll find it very useful.

My family just got back from a great trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.
The K-3 and 16-85 lens came with us, of course!
Here is one from a float trip down the Snake River. I had a CPL attached and that help with a more vivid shot.
I still love this lens!
