Finally got around to trying something I'd had on my to-do list for a while. I reversed my 16-85 on my KP. Magnification available in reversed configuration is 1.5x at 85mm to 4.5x at 16mm.Here are uncropped shots of the millimeter scale on a ruler at each end.

Used in conjunction with a de-glassed Fotodiox PK-Nikon F adapter with aperture control, I can open or close the lens's diaphragm despite the lack of aperture ring. In real world, handheld, outdoor shooting it's really tricky to use at 4.5x. My keeper rate improved (somewhat) by turning to a longer focal length setting. I'll probably try it some more, but it's not as user friendly as my reversed 18-55 II.
