Ready for great sale on DA 21mm f3.2

OK...just putting it out there. Waiting for B&H to come to their senses and discount the black HD DA 21mm f3.2 to the same $390 price they have for the silver one. Common' B&H!

Just take the plunge- both lenses are already way below their launch prices, in line with what the SMC variants cost

I don't understand why sometimes the black versions are different prices from the silver ones. Maybe it's supply and demand. Functionally and optically they are they are same, it's just cosmetics!

Agreed.

I now have a couple of silver lenses for my black K3 because they were cheap - they work just as well as the black ones....Pentaxians are a slightly unconventional group anyway, so just go for it at that price!

Enjoy your lens and your individuality!

I have a silver HD DA 40mm sitting on a black K-7. Certainly stands out amid the all black Canon and Nikon models with zoom lenses I see most places. Very tempted to get the silver HD DA 21mm (or maybe a 15 mm).

Great lens for a great price. I had one but never connected with the focal length. But it was a great performer.

I have the three amigos in black and the 15 and 21 in silver. When I have the silver lens' on a black K5 or K3 people look at my rig more.

A few days ago a Canon using acquaintance was walking toward me as I was doing a series of images using the gunmetal K3 and grip with the silver 21mm HD. He stopped and began to ask what I was using - then paused mid question and said "oh now I remember you have that pentax rig - it is unusual".

I like the look so much I arranged for DC Shooter to make my copy of an M 40 2.8 match it:

I like the 21 and K3 combo heaps as my go everywhere kit - makes a small light setup (especially when grip not attached) and does a beautiful job from landscapes to portraits- even if I do have to get up close.

I'm just wondering if a silver lens is going to look mismatched on my black K3 or yellow K01. Somehow it seems it might which is why I'm hoping that the black one drops to the price that the silver one is going for now

A pic of my K-3 with a silver limited by my K-50 with a silver limited. I don't mind the look at all but first pulled the trigger solely due to the price difference.

Back in the old days people bought the silver bodies to save money and the lenses were only available in black....

Black bodies were for the pros.

So you pretty much had no choice but to go with a black lens and silver body.

I know it's a reversal of the color scheme but as I said when I have a silver lens on the black body it seems to get more attention.
