Buy only the SP versions.

Some good lens are the 90mm/2.5, 300mm/2.8, 400mm/4 in primes and the 70-210/3.5 and 80-200/2.8 zooms are well regarded.

Loads of info here -> Adaptall-2.com

I own the SP 35-80 2.8-3.8 CF and love it - on three film bodies so far, including a Pentax. It is really nice for a general purpose zoom, with a very useful 1:2 macro feature. I can't wait to use it on my future Pentax dSLR!

There are Tamron adaptall 2 adapters with A contacts, better for use with digital cameras.

tamron adaptalls

Depends what focal length you are looking for but you can't go wrong with the 90mm f2.5 macro (probably the best lens that tamron has ever made). I used to have a 105/2.5 prime that I loved (rumor has it that this lens was tamron's answer to the lengendary nikon 105/2.5 - never had the nikon so I can't directly compare) - pretty hard to find though (mine is currently in pieces - took a hard fall). The tamron 180mm is supposed to be really nice as well.

I have a SP 300 2.8 with the 1.4 & 2X multipliers . I am using them on a K10 with a K adapter. This is a shot with the 2x (600mm). The bin is about 1/4 mile away & the house in the background is about 2 miles away.. wildherre
