Sounds like you've already got the tools you need - the best thing would seem to be the wide-angle during the day, perhaps shifting to the 50-135 as things get a bit darker. You've got a fair bit of overlap, which is good - if you mostly find yourself shooting at the long end of the 17-70, you could consider switching to the 50-135 at that point.
Note also that if the weather turns bad, the 50-135 becomes your only reasonable option at that point unless there's LOTS of sheltered areas to shoot from.
