Would there be a niche market for Pentax to re-release some M lens

That is admittedly a problem with Samyang. They make good glass, but it's often ultra fast or ultra wide or both, and it pays the price in size terms while the more coveted M primes are known for their smallness.

When I first joined I remember seeing that you could still custom order the 250-600. And there was that batch of Assembled in Vietnam A 50/1.2s. But I don't remember seeing any reference to that after 2010...

If they make an M style full frame body to go with it, sure. And expect to sell very few. Otherwise, why would they? You can now get a small DSLR like the K-S1 and use it with the tiny DA Limiteds. But we all know that wasnt a success...
