Woohoo! New Lens!

It's bright lemon yellow and arrived in the mail today (in Calfornia) from Japan. The DA 35mm f2.4. Thanks to a forum member I tried a Japanese buying service called Zenmarket. It was relatively easy to set up an account. Then I paid via Paypal. All told, including packing, shipping, insurance, banking transfer fee, and Zenmarket's fee (around $3 I think), it came to around $180. Zenmarket bought it off Amazon.co.jp which can't sell and ship this lens direct to the US. I won't take it out for a spin on my new K-S1 until I get a filter from B and H to protect it. Just waiting for them to open......

Blue! Blue and yellow is one of my favorite color combos. I like blue and white too..... I really thought about the white one but I also wanted a unique, at least around here, colored kit. Not that many people would want to bash me over the head to take my K-S1, but if they did, with that bright yellow lens, they'd have some 'splainin to do. The yellow is so cheerful and happy and I want to use my camera to take pics of the gorgeous CA native plants at my local botanic garden. Why not have a camera/lens as bright as the wildflowers? I have even given this lens a name--Buttercup.

This a great lens that I rarely take off my K30 (mine is black). I will be purchasing a K S1 next week. Is the image quality on it as good as I think it will be?

Certainly won't misplace it in your camera bag

Glad that ZenMarket worked for you too...but does open more options for LBA and GAS...

Cheers

Looks great, and will be easy to find. I hate looking at all those black lenses trying to figure out which is the one I want.
