Get wide angle lens from an extreme angle lens

I want a lens to landscapes, I have the 18-55 but is not enoight wide. I also have the 8mm samyang but it is an eye fish lens. Could I have something bettwen these lenses with a lightroom profile? Or should I buy a lens.

Thanks and sorry for the english.

sigma 10-20? i had a similar set up as you.... got rid of the samyang...going with Pentax 10-17 fisheye and then the 16-85 Pentax.

Might add the Sigma 10-20 down the road.

Have you tried using Lightroom or Photoshop to de-fish the Samyang 8mm? I heard it can be done. And then you just adjust the crop (constrain). Don't know what equivalent FoV you get, though.

Other than that, the next thing to do is buy Samyang 10mm (not fisheye) or Samyang 16mm. Or Tamron 10-24mm, Sigma 10-20mm, Pentax 12-24mm.
Sigma 10-20 is affordable with comfortable zoom range. Pretty popular. Samyang primes are sharper and brighter, but they have no AF and no zoom range.

The Samyang 10mm f/2.8 is a really wide, rectilinear and it takes great photos.

You can de-fish in the Lightroom module under Distortion. The Samyang takes great pictures. My eyesight was;t liking the manual focus.

You can defish the fisheye shots but 8mm will always be a bit too wide. A cheap solution would be the DA16-45 - the extra couple of mm does make a difference over the kit DA18-55 and the IQ is better.

There are lots of points to deal with if you DeFish a fisheye. Most notibly is that it tends to amplify the lateral CA, so the IQ goes down a little,

There are plenty of offerings in ultra wide today, from zooms like the sigma 10-20mm the Pentax 12-24 and 10-17 fisheye, as well as Pentax 14mm and 15mm primes, plus the MF offerings from samyang at now I believe 10,12, and 14mm.

I have the sigma 10-20 and samyang 14mm. The samyang has an advantage in low light being F2.8 where mynversion of the sigma is F4-5.6.

The samyang gives great results but does have some pretty significant barrel distortion (approaching a mild fisheye like appearance), but it too can be corrected

The samyang lenses also have pretty good coatings.
