My first Limited ...

I don't have a Limited... The one I want is out of reach (31mm). The one I could get (21mm) I just can't get all that excited about. I think I'll get a Sigma 17-50 instead... But I night still end up with a 21 next year.

My first Limiteds were a used 21 and 70. Never really warmed up to the 70 (especially seeing the performance of Pancolar 80 wide open) but DA 21 is so convenient and gave me many good pictures. Lately, I added the 77 and its reputation is well deserved, love it to bits.

DA40 (SMC) was the first and they have just kept on coming - LBA struck me in a BIG way (15, 21, 31, 35macro, 43, 77 but not in that order).

I have to force myself to put a zoom on now, but given that my longest prime is the lovely 77, I'll have to use the zoom (55 - whatever WR) when I go to Kakadu in December looking for birds and crocodiles - can't get close to birds and WON'T get close to crocs.

The 77 was my first premium lens when I got back into photography after a long hiatus.

I didn't really get on the limited bandwagon until early 2012 when I got the 40 prior to a trip to Argentina. That trip really gave me the bug. It was followed by the 15 and 21 in one purchase, then the 70, 31 and 43 fairly soon after, as the Aussie dollar was better than parity with the Greenback at the time.

After a long hard think I let the 40 and 70 go in favour of their older sisters. I have since replaced the 15 for a better copy, and the 43 for a low serial number silver version.

The list was completed in more recent times with the 35, so I have been through them all

It certainly is, although other addictions can sometimes override it. I came very close to buying the 31, but I was looking for a 1.4 at the time and let it pass by (stupid of me). I hate to burst your bubble, but the 35 macro is not FF compatible. It covers 36x24 acceptably at close focus, but it vignettes badly at more distant focus.
For macro use, APS-C is actually an advantage anyway, so using it on FF doesn't make much sense to me. If you really want to blow your mind, put it on the Q.

A pity. Still, close-focus (as in practically jamming the front element against the subject) is where I do the vast majority of my shooting with it and I could always switch to crop mode for the very few distant shots (and even that's not more than ten feet), so let's see what it brings.

DA21. Love at first sight. I dig the size, the focal length, the starbursts it creates. Probably my least used lens, or second least, but it's special.

the DA40 is my second, and I love that one too. It sees much more use.

My limited collection grew from the 40...

Now I own the 15, the 40, the 70 (HD), the 31, and the 77.

FA31 was the first. Figured that was all I would need. Then the 77 and finally the 15. I usually just go out with those three.
I was a die-hard aps-c why-would-I-need-FF guy until I started using the LTD's. Now I really want to see the 31 on FF. And the 43. And the 77. And my Tak's too.....
