Just curious if anyone knows if the Spiratone 20mm f2.8 "Plura Coat" is the same lens as the Soligor listed in the reviews:

The lenses look similar.

Or does anyone have the Spiratone lens?

Spiratone was a camera store in NYC back in the 60's and 70's. They were known as a discount store and sold a lot of lenses and darkroom gear labeled under their own name. Some of it was pretty good and some was crap. One of their big sellers was a long telephoto (I forget the length) for $49. It was tested by some of the magazines of the day and it performed fairly well if you had the light for it's f/8 widest aperture and didn't mind carrying a lens that resembled a baseball bat.

Thanks. I decided to let the spiratone lens go and instead bought a new Pentax HD DA 21 F3.2 on the black Friday sale.

The lens I am really keeping my eye out for is the Pentax FA 20mm F2.8, but the price they go for is a bit painful.

You made a good choice. Old Spiratone lenses have more value as collectors items these days than as a lens to use regularly.
