This is easy

Personally I would mind being too close to the critter with a macro lens . At 35mm, it is real close like 4 inches. But nobody can argue with the result.

Or you are happier with this shot?

I am really thankful for the guys who show their pics from the various lenses - it certainly helps when making a decision to purchase.

Consisdering some of the negative comments (another thread) about this lens - which to me seem ridiculous - I feel this lens (by the quality IQ wise) is really really nice.

I want one

cheers

I say the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Judge for yourself and draw your own conclusion. I did so and bought DA 35 and I am more than happy. At some 330 Euro I don't even say it's such a big investement.

Great shots Alefone! I'm glad you're enjoying the lens right from the beginning.

I've been too busy taking pictures with my new DA35 ltd to spend a lot of time bragging about it, but it would certainly be the lens I would keep if I could only keep one.
Next week I'm going on vacation at the Black canyon of the Gunnison National Park in Colorado.
I'm going to take My 10-17mm fisheye zoom, my Da35mm ltd, and my newly aquired Tamron 90mm sp. I might take the da50-200, but I havent decided on it.
I expect to have the 35mm on the camera 90% of the time, and the other lenses will share the other 10%

Thank you guys for your comments,Daniel you still own me explanation of what I am doing wrong when I post pictures from pbase.
As said before everybody has it's own taste but for me also this lens is a winner big time.I narrowed down lenses in my bag now to Sigma 17-70,Sigma 70-200,Pentax DA35 and Pentax FA 50.For my type of photography this is more then I need and it goes with me anywhere I go

Thank again
