Enjoy it! You need a silver K-3 to go with it now...

It's a lovely little lens, enjoy! But watch out, the Limited bug's bite is highly infectious

I know just how you feel, OP. I took a few sample shots with mine to ensure that it worked, and now it goes in the box for Christmas day. I'm not completely sure about the funky screw-in lenscap, but I see the lens as a landscapes and vistas thing rather than one in which the cap MUST COME OFF NOW to get that special shot before it's too late. There are several shots I have planned for it already, actually.

The SMC 40, on the other hand, has long since been converted to a filter-and-pinch-cap arrangement; and the 70 will no doubt follow in due course when compactness is required.

*sigh* Between my wife, my kids and my dogs, I'm getting all of the ones I don't already have for Christmas. This perforce ends the yearning for the DA limiteds (which was in the end victorious). The FA ones are another matter, but they can wait for now.

I got mine a couple weeks ago for my birthday; lovely little trinket. I almost immediately took the screw-on lens cap off and stored it in the pouch and put on a pinch type cap. It fits nicely just inside the built-in hood and is a lot easier and quicker to get on and off.

I may yet follow that route, depending on how my actual versus intended use of the lens works out. For now, though, the screw-cap stays.

Very true. I was bitten some time ago and now have the 15, 21, 35, 40, 43 and 70. What am I missing? No, wait. Don't tell me.

It's like those mathematical puzzles - "Fill in the missing numbers in this sequence."

It started with the 15 for me, and I too have the same - 15, 21, 35, 40 (two of those), 43, and 70. How long will we hold out on the 31 and 77? (oops, I told you)

You need the DFA 100 macro.
