Without a monopod is okay if the light is bright, but once you get a few clouds overhead then the pod is required. Though, as I have suggested before, if SR could be turned on permanently rather than having to push a button, it could cope a bit better.

Nah ... in the grand scheme of things ... I'd prefer to not spend it on that and save up that bit more and get the Tamron 70-200 and use my Tamron x1.4 TC on it to gain the near on 300mm distance.
