My latest additions.

I'm really excited about the latest additions to my arsenal and I thought I'd share the joy! While browsing Craig's List in Vermont, I came across a guy who had a K1000 and two lenses, a flash, a bunch of filters and the usual odds & ends. The lenses intrigued me, so I got in touch with him and asked what they were. As it turned out, one was a SMC Pentax-M 35mm f:2.0 and the other was a SMC Pentax-M 100mm f:2.8. Oh my, my heart skipped a beat!

Long story short, we made a deal. He sent me the two lenses and in turn, I sent him back a VERY nominal sum and a SMC Pentax-M 50mm f:2.0 so he could plug the hole in his K1000 and make it more saleable.

Both are gorgeous example of the older manual Pentax lenses, with the 100mm being absolutely pristine!. An early Christmas for the Dewman!

Life is good!

Ain't it so! I already had one of the 100mm lenses and it's without a doubt, as sharp as any lens I own, save for my two FA macro lenses. What a lovely lens! Here's a sample shot taken last summer to show the sharpness. And, the bokeh is pretty good as well.

During that same day of browsing, I ended up with a Pentax K10D and a SMC Pentax DA 18-250mm ED AL (IF) for, as they say, "A song and a dance and I sang the tune myself"! Camera and lens in original boxes, with charger, two batteries and owner's manual.

I almost have a guilt complex. Almost, but not quite. Is the combo worth $150.00

A happy seller and a happy buyer is the basis of trade worldwide. It is the fundamental basis of capitalism.

So as long as both you and the seller are happy with the transaction, then you are good...

Some of that year-end luck is rubbing onto you.

I always leave something on the table when I sell. I am a bit tough when I buy - my experiences on the buy side have not always been perfect, except on this Forum, for which I feel grateful.
