Got some decent starbursts out of my new 10-17 Fisheye which I picked up a price I couldn't refuse over the holidays. They're not DA 15 quality, but not too bad really for a first attempt.

Best "Starburst" on lenses?
You do know that you can go to "Stars R Us" and buy a bag load of stars for not much money.

Then you can sprinkle them quite liberally in any scene you choose.

There's that DA 15 calling me again! I also like the starburst from the Tak 28; but want the wider lens.

Probably cheaper buying stars by the bagful!

Wider? Sure, but don't look past the Limited Teles. You know...LBA and all...

I'm pretty well convinced on the DA15; as I love the starburst, and I want a wide lens. All I have to do is find that pot of gold to finance it!

Damn, the SMC DA 15mm owns this thread.

That's not too surprising frankly. What I find surprising are the DA 18-135mm starbursts. I have both lenses but apparently I don't have the technique. So I should stop down beyond f8 and partly obscure the sun?

Which lens gives the best (prettiest) starburst effect? I've seen some spectacular images with the sun, and just lights, and really like this effect!

1) 15mm Limited
2) 15mm Limited
3) 15mm Limited
4) 15mm Limited
5) 15mm Limited

I mostly shoot NIkon now, and the 15mm Starburst is something that I really miss.

When it comes to starbursts, I guess the DA 15mm Limited reigns supreme:

Two examples with the Sigma 35mm f.14 Art:
