Sigma HSM?

Which Sigma lenses that usually sport HSM have HSM also on Pentax mount?
I See 10-20 and 30/1.4 on b&h w/o the mention of HSM for Pentax mount.

None currently. The new 50-150 and 70-200 will, but they are not out yet.

I looked on the Sigma site the other day, and the 70 - 200 was listed in Pentax mount. So it shouldn't be long now

The 50 - 150 doesn't interest me so I never looked.

Listed for a mount != supports HSM on that mount, hence my question, well, if there is no HSM to be had for me, then i am certain not to get another Sigma until there is HSM.

I really can't see it being all that long.

Sigma USA is really good at answering any questions. So if you send them a quick e-mail they might be more than willing to tell you when they'll be for sale.

From: dgaige@sigmaphoto.com:

"As of right now there is no plans to produce the HSM in the lens for Pentax.

We apologize for the inconvenience."

I asked about the 30/1.4 in particular.

That is clearly wrong, as they have announced a number of upcoming HSM lenses for Pentax.

All of them are listed on their site as "new". In situations where a lens existed prior to this year for other mounts, the Pentax variant is listed seperately.

I have seen so far:
70-200/2.8 - Announced in Feb/March or so, no idea when it will actually be released, probably not for a while as the weight is listed as TBD. It has a seperate listing for the Pentax/Sony mount.
50-150/2.8 - Announced at same time as the 70-200
150-500 5-6.3 - Announced recently, not sure when
I think one more was recently announced.

It appears that all of the Sigma lenses that support HSM on Pentax will be HSM-only on Pentax, so look for lenses that have notes of "*If the camera body does not support HSM motor, AF will not work."

Sigma - Lenses
Sigma - Lenses
Sigma - Lenses
Sigma - Lenses

All of these have been announced but are not yet available, and no one knows when they will be.

Morfic asked about the 30mm f/1.4. The NEW lenses will be released with HSM, but existing lenses will NOT be re-released with HSM. This seems consistent with everything I have read re. Sigma/Pentax/HSM.

Similarly, I'm sure the 10-20mm will not be re-released with HSM (at least in the near-term)

There's a new 18-125mm with HSM on the way.

Yeah I misread his post, it sounded like the Sigma rep was saying they would not be releasing any HSM lenses for Pentax.
