Your M 50/2 was probably sold as kit on a K1000, though I believe the f/2 primes were available as a factory kit on all K-mount bodies at the time.
Originally posted by RKKS08 In Europe, the Super Program and the A3 were bundled with the SMC A 2/50, Pentax 3.5-4.5/28-80, Takumar [Bayonet] 3.5-4.5/28-80 or the Profile 3.5-4.5/28-80, the zooms all non-SMC and manufactured in Taiwan.
Europe has always been a little different. I was in the market at the time and don't remember any factory bundles with zoom lenses on either of those cameras here in the U.S. That being said, camera stores almost always had zooms and power winders on their display models and cameras were often sold as a store-assembled bundle consisting of body, case, factory-kit normal lens, power winder, budget zoom, flash, and hippie strap.

B&H did sell the cameras other ways, but the above is what would have been a factory-sealed boxed bundle.
