Your planned FF lens line up

Apologies if this has been discussed before - I searched here and in FF DSLR forum and couldn't find that it had.

I'm sure folks have been spending lots of time contemplating what their lens line up will look like if/when they move to FF body. I know I have. Just curious what people are planning (and why) as of now. Here's mine:

- DFA wide zoom/DFA wide prime - goal is top IQ for landscapes, whether I get prime or zoom will depend on exact offerings/specs/cost
- Fa 20/2.8 - already have this, compact UWA for landscapes/travel when size/weight is at a premium
- Fa 31 - you can have it when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers, can't wait to see how it performs on FF
- Fa 43 - true normal on FF, don't have currently but plan on acquiring
- Da 55 - just bought one, hope this serves as another versatile normal-ish option on FF
- Fa 77 - see Fa 31 above
- DFA 100 WR - have this already, will give a FOV on FF that I think will be very versatile macro-wise, also excels as a general use tele
- 135 prime - not sure what yet, maybe Samyang 135/2, or a DFA 135 if that happens, would like something longer than Fa 77 for portrait work
- F 300 - in the process of acquiring, will use for wildlife (likely in crop mode and/or with TC), maybe to dabble in some sports

What are you planning?

-Brandon

If FF body will be affordable for my money (means under Euro 2000 body only) , I plan buying it alone and, in a near period of time using it with my "old" mf lenses (20, tak 35, 55, 200, 300) adding 24 mm ,85 mm and 135 primes (mf, low prices) - for the 85&135 perhaps buying brand new DFA 100 macro WR . That's just because I cannot spend/justify the expense of Euro 6000 (body+24-70+70-200, presumed prices) beeing a non-pro.

I already have mostly FF lenses. But I doubt I will be getting a FF camera anytime soon
Samyang 14mm, Pentax M 28mm, Pentax DA 35mm, DA 40mm XS, Pentax DFA 100mm, a bunch of manual 50mm lenses.. I still want something in the 18-25mm range, though. Don't care much for telephoto above 100mm at this point. So unless I win the lottery, I will be staying around here. Though, buying FA limited lenses and FF camera does sound a little tempting

I think that im already setup for the FF body.. my current lenses are:

- DA 10-17mm ( i can use this one starting at 15mm and use it as an ultra wide lens )
- D FA 24-70 f2.8
- Tamron 70-200 f2.8 ( eventually at some point i will change it to the Pentax 70-200 f2.8 if it is good enough to justify the change)
- FA 50mm f1.4
- Sigma 85mm f1.4

I will be pretty happy with that setup. At some point i might look for the 15-30mm.. But the 24-70 / 70-200 / 85mm are my favorite, the others are nice, but are not THAT important for me.

I have the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 ready to go one day if finances permit.

Plenty of primes, too ... Samyang 14 & 24mm, FA35, D FA 50mm Macro, FA77, Tamron 90mm Macro, etc.

I have DA10-17 (from 15mm on), DA*24, FA31, FA43, DA*55, FA77, DFA100WR, FA135, DA*300 already in the bag.
In addition, my DA35/2.8 macro limited is OK on FF in the macro range, but not for general photography.

The only addition I can foresee is one or more of the following:
DFA24-70/2.8
DFA wide zoom (15-30ish) on the horizon
A new fast wide prime to replace (or maybe wider than?) my FA*24.

I'm more than happy to keep using my longer lenses (DA*50-135, FA77, DFA100WR and DA*300) on APS-C for the extra reach and size/weight advantage over their FF equivalents. And the DA35 too of course. I'll keep the DA15 and DA21 too.

See my sig. WIth a broad collection of film era lenses available, I am well set up for both automatic and manual focus at full-frame. The FA28-90 isn't the most stellar zoom lens Pentax ever made, and its manual focus behaviour is frankly awful, but the AF isn't too bad at all and the image quality is more than acceptable for the casual shooting for which I bought it.

As with Sandy Hancock, I plan to keep the DA-only lenses for use in crop mode. Because I use my DA35/2.8 extensively at very close range, I don't see myself having a problem with it; I can always flip over to crop mode when I have to take the longer shots. If all else fails, some clever craftwork inserted within the picture frame will hide the ugly black rims around full-mode landscape pics with the DA15.

I only have two DA lenses in my collection the Sigma 8-16mm and the Sigma 18-35mm. I will probably keep them, as there isn't anything else on the market that is anything like them. But I have a large collection of M,K,A,F,FA lenses I will need to test for performance on the new DSLR....and calibrate the lenses for accurate AF *shudder* that is going to take a month, or two.

You will absolutely love the F*300. It's like an FA 31 only longer.
