35mm f/2.8 Macro

Bought my K-50 almost 3 weeks ago. Ordered it with the 18-135. From the beginning I knew a faster prime was in my future. I chose the 35mm Macro. Today I updated the firmware that came with the K-50 and slapped on the 35. Was able to take a few pics before the rain rolled in. Again.

Did not play with the macro aspect of the lens and am impressed with the speed and sharpness I got with jpeg, uploaded to live photo gallery, cropped, and resized in paint to show you the pic I liked best.

I'm new to digital photography and admit I have quite the learning curve ahead. I'm embarrassed to ask but what's the easiest way to just upload photos here?

This post probably belongs in the "beginner" thread but I wanted to give a shout out to the 35 macro right out of the box.

Anyway. Here's a pic of our sundial on a cloudy day.

Congrats on the purchase!

The fastest way would be to just attach photos to your post using the Manage Attachments button.

If you want to categorize your photos, you can also use the albums:

Hi DW,

Thanks for sharing the cloudy sundial! I guess it doesn't get much practical use on the wet coast...

You're set up with a very good kit, and a versatile combination of the 18-135 and the 35 macro. Looking forward to seeing more pictures from your part of the world.

Another method is to upload your image to flickr, click share image, copy the BB code, and paste that into your forum post. Insta-image!

Thanks Adam. I did use the manage attachments button. Unfortunately I come from an era where the only calculator on the market was made by Texas Instruments. They were larger than todays smart phones and cost about $25.00. And if you got caught with one in math class you were in trouble. My last 20 years have been spent working the farm. Selling herbs, veggies, fruit, cut flowers, goats, and goat milk soap. Also rented my goats out for brush control. A lot of work but I loved it. Never found much time to update my Facebook account or download movies to my iphone. We don't even get cell service on our property.

In other words, up till now I've had little use for technology. I just thought there might be a more simple route than uploading a photo to Windows Live Photo Gallery, cropping if need be, then bringing it up in Paint to resize in order to upload to PF. I'll figure it out.

PF is a great site and I like the fact that I don't have to see the rolling eyes, the shaking of the heads in disbelief, of all who learned to read on a Kindle.
