Interesting thread and nice images.

Some shots from two of my new favourites, Helios 44-2 58mm f2 and Meyer Trioplan 50mm f2.9. Both are sharp and capable of very nice and/or weird bokeh. Apart from that the Meyer is such a cool little silver lens.

Legay before, we'll never let this thread die :-) Your #2 is my fave.

Johan, last one with the dog is really well balanced imo.

M42 Enna Ennalyt 1.9/50 Sockel lens on K100D, f/2.8 maybe

Same lens and camera, f/something (sorry) Gotta like them old lenses, another full metal handcrafted zebra :-)

I find that this Auto Takumar 55mm f/2.2 lens has pretty smooth and diffuse bokeh, with moderate brightlining on OOF highlight discs. The in-focus areas are quite sharp and resolution is pretty good, but not up to the later Super Takumar 55mm f/1.8.

Some samples (all wide-open):

fourmiX, you have a very nice/interesting collection there. I have wondered about the Distagon 35 before. Glad you posted although it doesn't help the LBA any and I will file the info for later use.

fixinater, love the color of the last one. Don't have the super tak but I do have the k 55 1.8 although it doesn't get used as much as it should.

piRaTe, good to see the thread lives on.

Fixcinater, that f/2.2 version is special imo. I should try my SMC 1.8/55 to stop down to f/2.2 and see if it looks anywhere near as good as yours.
I would expect it not to, though, cause as you said the resolution of the newer lens might be better and that can't just go without harsher bokeh imo.

M42 Industar 61LZ MC 2.8/50 on K100D. Maybe f/5.6 Mid f-stops form a star-shape and make special bokeh :-)

Cheers, Georg (the other)

Hoya HMC 80-205mm f3.9, shot at 205mm f3.9 on my *istD. I am really loving this cheap zoom, especially its color rendition and smooth bokeh.
