Might as well toss it in here for posterity, crossposted from the thread about the lens itself...

Helios-44K-4 @ f/2

Typical Russian bokeh, I'm told. I think it's gorgeous.

Well, I'm not a bokeh master but I know what I like when I see it and you all have provided some great examples. Bokeh is so dependent on lighting and lens to subject distance that 'we' can make a great lens look bad and a so-so lens look good. Here are a few of mine.

M 100mm f/4 Macro.

DA* 300mm f/4.

Here's one I shot with the DA 50-200 that I thought was kind of neat.

I really have to bump this, one of the most beautiful shots I've seen in a long time. Would love to ad it as a favourite on flickr but I can's seem to find you or this shot there...

Anyway here's my contribution:

Pentax K 50mm 1.4 @ 1.4-22 (will explain if someone is interested...)

Now ya did it. Theres another lens I will have an eye out for. It never ends. I heard this was a sweet one.

I love the golden color and bokeh of the first shot.

Can't any lens produce a great boken? Alot depends on light and distance of the background.
This is a sigma 150-500mm f5/6.3
