I must admit that I do rather like the results my SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.2 gives me, I don't know if it's the best lens for bokeh, but I like what I get from it.

This is a seriously gorgeous shot.

I always reach for my A 50mm F1.7 (fastest thing I have) when I'm going for bokeh. (A a little PP on a couple of these):




But the 35mm Ltd doesn't disappoint either, even wide open (and hand held):

For me i find my Tele-workhorse (TAMRON 70-200mm f2.8) at f2.8 at that range i find it realy helps seperate the subject from the background. Nice and sharp with some very pleasing bokeh (even though it has 9 or so blade)

Just got the Sigma 28mm f1.8 recently and with it's 9 blades aswell it seems to do a ok job of bokeh.

Retrying my Vivitar 85mm f/1.8. Uh oh... swirly bokeh! Or is that a good thing? :-)

Sorry for the bad focus - the lens is so soft wide open, combined with the VF being unable to really differentiate f/1.8 form f/4, that I have a tough time getting it just right.

Some of them were taken with extension tubes. Sometimes I prefer Nokton 58/1.4 + extension tubes rather than my "true" macro lens (Tamron 90/2.8)...

The DA 40 is a little slow to be a bokeh master, but at 2.8 I find the backgrounds plenty creamy. What I like especially is that the background blur circles have no hash edges.

Goji berry indoor plant taken with DFA100mm WR. The small room is crowded with several potting plants for winter. The lens was able to isolate the back ground without showing any "half" bokeh. The photo is not processed.
