If they can make money by making a K-mount version, then they will do it.
Hopefully the K-1 will bring enough people over to K mount to make this once again, a lucrative possibility that Sigma cannot refuse.

Except this is a DC lens for APS-C sensors and the K-1 is FF. This lens with an FF sensor would make horrible vignetting.
Well, maybe you can use the crop mode on the K-1, but I would find it weird to buy this lens for a FF camera and then use it cropped.

Certain focal lengths should be OK, there are many APS-C specific zoom lenses from pentax and third party manufacturers that are able to cover FF. For instance the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 can cover full format at focal lengths above 32mm* - I know, not much wiggle room there but it is possible...with a few caveats.

*Tested on Nikon D3s

Well, this is interesting, but you would be better off with a Sigma 35mm f1.4. Faster lens, smaller, and basically the same focal length. Nonetheless, I really hope that this DC lens will be available for Pentax.
