I am a fan of Zeiss ZK lenses. I've posted before how I like how some of them when shot at around f/2 because they have a "3D Pop" to the subject.
Well, I just received some more new lenses in the mail today. I did some quick test shots with and to my eye, one of these new lenses has a "3D Pop" that's just as good as the best Zeiss lenses.
The lens I'm referring to is my new Meyer Optik Gorlitz TRIOPLAN 100mm f/2.8. I've posted a photo of a bench on my front porch that I just took with the Trioplan on my K3II at f/2.8. Don't know if you can see the 3D Pop in the smallish jpg that's posted on this thread - but I can assure you that when you view the original file on an oversized monitor the effect is clearly there.
I purchased this rare old lens primarily for its' "soap bubble" bokeh. The 3D Pop is an unexpected and pleasant surprise!
