16-85 questions

Hi, this is my first post

I've recently purchased a DA 16-85 and I have some questions

1. When holding it, if I move my hand slightly I can hear something clunking inside. Is this normal?

2. The outer most section (where the lens caps goes) feels loose. Is this normal? The centre section feels much more solid.

1) not in my experience

2) no, mine is quite tight. A small amount of movement is to be expected, but not "loose".

I wouldn't say this is normal. I would try to get the lens exchanged.

No wobble or noises on mine, seek an exchange.

Thanks for your replies.

It sounds strange, but when I focus to something more than around 30m away, the image isn't sharp. I've tried several aperture stops, but it's just not quite right. Near field images are much better.

I'm going to exchange it.
