The more I think about it the more I am thinking of getting the K1 and a 24-70. For one it is constant aperture which I will like. I love the 16-85 but that variable aperture kind of bugs me. Also as I am travelling around I have found that I am using wide angle settings a lot. I wish we could get a 20mm f1.8... that would be awesome.
I am still making up my mind but for what I see so far compared to the 16-85 losing a little zoom with the 24-70 will be ok. I will just zoom with my feet
That said apparently there is a trade off to everything.
I never ever thought I would make use of a zoom lens but on the road it is my most used lens by far. I am still a die hard prime guy but for action there is no substitute for a zoom.
My only reservation on the 28-105 is that it has less on the wide end and it's variable aperture.

Also I forgot to mention that the 15-30mm looks attractive for many things but that thing is a monster. I met a Pakistani guy who is a Nikon shooter that had the Tamron version for his Nikon and he let me play with it some while he admired my Pentax camera
On one hand it would be nice to have but on the other hand that thing would be a monster to lug around. I could probably do some pretty awesome street shots with it though. The zoom range is awesome. The 24-70 though would be in my opinion enough for me (for now)... I could pick up the 15-30 (maybe) later on.
