Reviewer tests Pentax 60-250 lens on K1 - nice results!

A reviewer in Japan tested the Pentax 60 - 250mm lens on the K1. He/she even posted some photos.

The finding was the lens covers the sensor very well until 120mm. From 120mm to 250mm there is a gradual increase in the corner darkening. His photo of a skyline at 250mm showed what I'd consider to be fairly minimal vignetting.

I can't wait to try my 60 - 250mm lens on the K1!

Darkened corners but not 100% dark. It should be possible to compensate quite well. Just note that this is with infinity focus and the largest aperture. At closer distances and smaller apertures it should be better.

Not sure that prediction is entirely justified. With unit-focusing lenses, focusing at near distance almost always reduces vignetting. With internal focusing it's hard to know how the lens will behave.

Hi
I have take some shots with my 60-250 and K1. Tested in the two modes FF and Crop.
The result is acceptable in longer FL like 250mm. In fact is noticeable the darker corners. In lower FL like 60 mm is fine. With software help is possible to minimize the dark efect. I have put some shots in Facebook's K1 Full frame group.
So I'm very satisfied with it.
Good shots
