DA 12-24 - shots, anyone?

.

I really feel the need for a wide-angle - like, super wide-angle. I thought
I was going to be investing my hard-earned cash into the DA* 60-250
by this time, but it's delayed again, and I guess I'm getting by nicely for
now with my M 200 f.4 and Tammy 70-300 LD Di in the long glass dept.

So I'm back to pining for WA. I really like te typical WA architecture/landscape
shots, but I like even more the up-close WA shots, typically of people or objects.
I just like that aspect ratio.

I've been considering the Sigma 10-20, but I'm OK with 12mm if it will get me
more sharpness. I don't care too much about CA.

So - does anyone have any example shots taken by the 12-24 that they'd like
to share?

WOW! Were there any filters on the lens, or any PP done to those shots?

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I'm out of attachment space, but this car show was almost all 12-24.

It appears the OP is a zoom-man.

jsherman: if you accept the corners of the second shot, then you should give the Sigma another chance, and it's yet wider.

some of you may be aware that i just caved to this very impulse. i posted this first pic in my thread already, but i'll re-post it here.
sorry about the harsh clipping in the third and fourth ones - i was so excited to do panning shots i lost focus on my camera settings; i forgot it was on iso400,
which is why if you look at the exif i was at f18! (trying to slow the shutter speed).

12mm is really impressively wide - things look so tiny even inches from the front of the lens! the widest i had previously for this camera was the fa35-2

here you go:

I've considered it, and I'm probably still considering it, but I have the DA* 16-50,
and the difference in widths between 14mm & 16mm is just not quite enough to justify.

Yes, I obviously prefer primes, but 12-24 is a great range and has a very
good rep for a zoom.

Hmmm... didn't really notice those corners. But I guess that's the thing - I didn't
notice the corners.
Center sharpness has always been important to me, corners
not so much, except as a checklist item.

But I am still considering the 10-20 also. The price is very nice.

I've had this lens for about a month now, and my only complaint is the diameter of the lens and hood... nitpicks for sure; for a lens of this quality, I'll make room in my bag for it.
