Serious coin for this lens when I bought it, relative to my income at the time - 149.00 CDN.
It always had a poor reputation among film users. Probably because PopPhoto gave it a bad review, and it used the same optical formula as the Takumar Bayonet 135/2.5. On an APSC DSLR it is a sharp fast lens with a 200mm equivalent focal length. I picked up mine from Shopgoodwill.com with a SuperProgram, 28/2.8, 50/1.7 and a flash for $190 shipped in 2010. The original manuals and advertising were included, it had the M lens flyer and an A lens insert. So it had to be from '83 or '84.
