How sharp is D-FA* 70-200 wide open?

Wondering how sharp is D-FA* 70-200 at 2.8? I expect to shoot mostly in dim conditions thus often with aperture wide open. Could somebody publish a full-size sample or 1:1 crop from the lens?

If you nail the focus, it's pretty darn sharp!

This was just a quick snap from the K-50:

Short answer: sharp enough
All hand held, so I guess they could be sharper....
You'll have to make do with scaled down jpegs from me though.

Some recent shots shared by Man Kuhn (Bruce Trail Hiker): DFA* 70-200mm - Acclaimed pianist Lukas Geniusas: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review. It looks quite impressive - sharp on what you're focusing on and very nice background bokeh.

It should work- I think the side cached an old version, while it was still uploading.

For those interested, the pictures provided at the link above are taken at very low shutter speed (1/30th and 1/60th)**, and at 200mm. So it really pushes the limit of the lens and are thus very interesting for real world analysis imo.

**(I only assume that they were taken handheld however.)

Very nice lens ... quite heavy, but superior sharpness, accurate focussing, smooth bokeh.

What the reason? You are disatisfied with the tamron 70-200 sharpness wise?

No, but the dfa seems sharper af f2.8 (against f4), is quieter with the DC, and have WR, this features are important to me, but idk is they justify the 1000usd diference
