I just got an email with mine, too. Almost a month ahead of schedule. Looking forward to surreal Christmas card pictures.

Got my tracking number too!

I wonder if they'll be doing make specific serial numbers... the canon on folks had to pay extra for low number lenses, but we should get them by default

FedEx tried to deliver mine Friday, but no one was home and it's marked for signature only. A little bit of a pain, but I suppose it's worthwhile for a somewhat expensive item. Hopefully I'll have it tomorrow.

Got mine! The packaging is just wow. It's like Apple products used to be only much, much better.

It's *heavy* and beautiful. The lens hood uses a bayonet mount, which is weird but very nice. Good tactile click when it locks in.

But there's a problem: apparently the cheap black plastic lens mount cap is glued on or something, because I can't get the thing off for the life of me, which makes me worried about how well it will mount to the camera.

---------- Post added 11-14-16 at 02:01 PM ----------

*edit* -- if you have the same problem, apply fairly significant sideways pressure to the cap and it will make a snap sound and become easy to turn. Until you put it back on again and snug it, then it's stuck again. Throw it away and get a different cap. Mounts on the camera fine. I'll take it outside and play with it later.

Now how the heck do I store all these waterhouse plates?

Haven't gotten any people shots yet, but here's a quick handheld nightscape with the snowflake aperture plate, just for fun.

A carabiner clip works pretty well to hold all the aperture plates, btw.

After an near epic-tragic week long battle to get FedEx to deliver the lens, I finally got my hands on it today. It's quite a well put together piece of old school engineering. Hefty, beautiful. The packaging itself was almost worth the six month wait. My wife's first reaction was "that looks expensive".

None of these initial test shots rise above the level of goofing around, but here's my first dozen shots. This is going to be an interesting thing to play with.

I know @pathdoc has received his as well, but he has apparently shown great restraint and re-packed it to go under the Christmas tree.

I held off on the Kickstarter, but ordered one off the rack on their website yesterday morning. If I get it before Christmas I will be doing the same as pathdoc

Mine turned up completely unannounced a month ago. I'm assuming that it was just some sort of aberration in the production and shipping process because I wasn't expecting it until December and I didn't get a tracking number or any sort of notification that it was on its way.
