Pentax 24-70mm does real well against "the big boys" in this shootout

I was pleasantly pleased at how much this pro Nikon shooter liked the Pentax 24-70mm vs. the competition. He talks about it @ 5:50 into the film.

Sony, Canon, Nikon, and Pentax Duke it Out in 24-70mm f/2.8 Shootout

A link to the video was already shared...

I too was struck by the enthusiasm of the pro in regards to shooting action with the K3II/24-70 combo.

I was most surprised by how poorly the mad-priced Nikon performed!

The K-1 wasn't available when they did the test.

I was struck by the host's confusion of the pro's enthusiasm with Pentax as if the Pentax is a 3rd world camera company..

The K-1 is really going to open some minds it seems..

Are you familiar with "The Camera Store"? They sell and feature regular reviews of Pentax product and are one of the more effective promoters of the brand on the Web.

I wouldn't know that judging from his reactions in the video.. he seems genuinely shocked anyone would be interested in Pentax both in expression and statement..

yeah, i follow Chris and know he is always Pentax-friendly, but his reaction a couple of times seemed to reaffirm that the guy's opinion was clearly unpopular. I think he was using intentional sarcasm to inject humor, but why?

I believe you are correct and think he was frustrated at not having the K-1 for the test.

But, didn't he also say that the K-S1 was one of the most pointless SLRs ever produced?

Some would consider that statement to be Pentax-friendly, but those folk are obviously not part of the K-S1's target market.
