Need adapter for new lens

I am almost 50 and I just bought my first slr camera, ever! So, obviously I wanted some other stuff with it, I also purchased an inexpensive telephoto lens made by Quantaray. Now to my question, the Tele lens does not have an adapter on the camera's just threaded. What do I need to make it whole? I've done some searching on Google, and think a T2 converter to Pentax K-af, might be what I need. The pictures of said item don't look right tho. Thanks for any help.
