Online used lens purchases -- am I being too picky?

I do most of my buying here in the marketplace, rather than ebay. I prefer the feeling of community here. Equipment is usually as described.

This is exactly what I do, and have never been disappointed in the least with MarketPlace purchases. Buying new is Adorama or B&H. Small new items may be from EBay.
