if you use Lightroom and have been good about tagging what lenses you use for pics, I'd say look at your usage history - if you never take it out, sell it.

If you need a second opinion, put it on your camera and go out without any other lenses, spend a day with it, if you fall back in love, keep it, if you just felt disappointed at shots you missed, sell it.

Which ones do you never use?

Start there. If you're not using it and usually reach for something else, then that's a pretty good sign.

Imagine you've sold them ALL and are starting over again. Which ones would you repurchase regardless of the cost?

Hmm, the Sigma 100-300, Pentax 28-80, and Takumar 70-210 never get used. The cameras are all for different things (K-01 is full spectrum, UV, and IR use only), I use the K3 for longer shots and with the 18-135 it is a nice compact walk around with one lens grab and go kit. I have not had the time to test out the 12-24 on the K1 yet, but it was flawless on the K3. I bought it and the 24-70 (excellent copy) for my FF kit. My 40 hasn't been used in a long time, and my 50 rarely gets used other than for astrophotos, where it is great. The 16-50, 18-35 (mine is a very good copy), 60-250 (almost FF compatible), 70-200 (it is a different beast from the 60-250), and 150-450 (I love this lens) all get used. I have only used the 1.7 a few times. I mean to try it with the 150-450 on a moon shot. The 1.4 has been used off and on, though I am disappointed that it certainly is not FF compatible because it works great. I have not used the excellent copy of the 8-16 I have in a while.

I do with I had the new Pentax 15-30, 24-70, and 70-200 set, but I am an amateur who does this as a hobby. That would be another 4k or so in lenses. I have some thinking to do.

If you sold all your Sigma glass along with the DA* 60-250 and maybe the DA* 16-50, you could probably afford the DFA 15-30 and the DFA 24-70. The DFA* 70-200 would still be out of reach, but the Tamron 70-200 does have the advantage of weighing significantly less than the Pentax.

In that case, i would say, sell those.

I have a rule : sell what you don't use for a year.
