Just sent the following message to Lee Filters:

"I purchased the Tamron 15-30mm F/2.8 SW150 adapter for my new Pentax 15-30mm /F/2.8 variant, and I can confirm that the Tamron version works perfectly with the Pentax lens, which has an identical built-in lens shade.

Therefore Pentax K1 owners, using the Pentax 15-30mm F/2.8 lens can simply buy the Tamron adapter in the safe and sure knowledge that that Tamron adapter will work perfectly with the Pentax"

so, is the combo K1 and 15-30 worth upgrading from a K3 and DA15?
The 15-30 alone seems a reason to me to get the K1. Both for it's versatility (lens & tiltscreen) and hopefully dynamic range and IQ.

Trying to get a sense of your enthousiasm here..?

On the wonderpana: do i get it right that cpl and ND are screw-on and gradual ND's are square types?
It needs to fit three filters for sure: cpl, ND and gradual ND..

On the SW150, pretty sure it does, but does it fit three filters as well?

1st, and my experience is limited with the 15-30, it's really good, so good that it replaced my Zeiss ZK 28/2 and that I'm willing to devote a LOT of space and weight to in in my rollerbag.


2nd, yes, both Fotodiox's CPL and 4-stop ND are screw-ons (and are antireflection coated), and the slide-in adapters have two slots, so a TOTAL of 3 filters including at least one screw-on and at least one slide-in can be used at once. The grad-nd or other graduated slide-ins are 150X225mm rectangular.

It's a good system, overall, IMO. I have an extra pair of slide-in adapter 'ears'; e-mail me at jeffreybehr(at)cox(dot)net if you buy a WonderPana66 adapterplate and want to save some money on the 'ears'. I'll include a link to them on Fotodiox's site as soon as I find one.
