The legendary lens is listed on ebay, but somethings seems to be odd

NO Reserve Pentax Pentax A SMC 135mm F 1 8 Green Star MF Lens PK Mount | eBay

Is it normal to see so much CA in this lens? I assume the test shots sown are wide open.

I would greatly appreciate learned views on this matter.

Yes, looks normal to me (as far as I can tell compared to mine). PF generally is similar to what you get from all the other fast pentax film era lenses ..

Yes, from my experience with A* 85, the PF looks very similar.

It is quite strange indeed, that even the lenses with the same optical formula are more PF prone in A-series, than others. E.g. K 50/1.2 does not have PF, but A 50/1.2 does. FA 20/2.8 does not have PF (almost), but A 20/2.8 does. Probably there are others. An exception is A* 200/2.8 that has less PF than its sibling K 200/2.5.

Either way, don't become too concerned it's a quick fix in todays modern PP software.

thanks guys - I'm in the market for this legend, but, not at silly prices. Perhaps I am not realistic in my thinking - we will see.

I've decided to not bid on this item. It is the second time in as many weeks it have been offered. The first time it was bid up by someone with few ebay transactions and their limited record was solely with the seller. This appears to be happening again, which tells me there is a vendor bid going on. NOT INTERESTED in such dodgy bidding.
